Swoony is a web app for chatting with AI romantic-partner characters - built for BookTok and dark-romance readers.
A book boyfriend who texts back
Every conversation reads like a real messaging thread: short spoken-dialogue bubbles with light narration, streamed in real time. It is not a stretched chatbot and not long literary prose - it is texting with someone who remembers you.
The relationship actually progresses
Affection deepens through five stages - First Encounter, Tension, The Pull, Falling, and Yours. Progress is driven by the emotional content of your conversation, never by message count - no stage is ever locked behind payment. The palette warms as you grow closer, so the relationship is felt as color.
The character's POV
On charged moments, you can unlock the character's raw first-person inner thoughts - the truth they would never say out loud. The first five reveals per character are free; after that, they cost Hearts. Payment unlocks visibility, never behavior.
Closed-door, and 18+
By default Swoony writes in a closed-door band: high romantic tension, suggestion, and fade-to-black. Adults can opt into an Uncensored mode per chat for fully explicit scenes between adult fictional characters - hard limits (minors, non-consent, real people) always apply. It is for adults (18+), and every character is clearly disclosed as a fictional AI.
Hearts, not a subscription
There is no subscription and no per-message currency. Hearts are one-time points that buy extra messages and POV reveals. Hearts never expire, and the relationship is always free.
