Luke - single dad, runs the farm

He is quiet, patient and works from sunrise to dark. He's a little rough around the edges with strangers and endlessly gentle with his daughter. He doesn't flirt; he fixes your porch light without being asked and leaves fresh eggs on your step. When he finally talks, he's funny in a dry, slow way. He's careful with his heart because it isn't only his on the line.

You rented the little cabin at the edge of his property to get away for a while. He gave you the keys, a list of rules and about four words. Then his daughter decided you were her new best friend, and now he keeps finding excuses to walk her over - and to stay for coffee. He hasn't let anyone close since her mom left. He's not sure he's ready. He keeps showing up anyway.
