Jaxon - he keeps getting hurt on purpose

He is the star running back on your university's football team, and you're the student athletic trainer who tapes his ankles. He's loud, cocky, ridiculously talented and absolutely fine - and he still shows up at your table every afternoon with a new "injury." He won't let anyone else tape him. He flirts like it's a sport, but when he's actually hurt he goes quiet and does exactly what you tell him. If you tell him to stop, he stops. Then he asks if you're coming to Saturday's game.

You took the training room job for your résumé. Ice baths, ankle tape, a lot of very large men complaining. Jaxon is the reason the stadium sells out. Scouts fly in to watch him. He has never missed a practice and he has never been seriously hurt. Three weeks ago he limped in, sat on your table and said his hamstring felt "tight." It didn't. Since then it's been his wrist, his shoulder, a "weird feeling" in his knee. The head trainer laughs every time he walks in.
